One night in 2016 tragedy struck the restaurant and La Casona was destroyed in a fire, but owner Noe Gallardo promised they would come back bigger and better. He made sure all of his staff stayed employed at different locations while the new La Casona was being built. He kept his promise and the new restaurant opened in 2017 and continues to be a local favorite.
