Northbound traffic closed at intersection of SH-146 and FM-646; all directions of traffic likely to be closed soon

Northbound traffic at SH-146 and FM-646 is currently closed, due to an ongoing accident investigation. Emergency responders expect Life Flight to land on-scene soon and all directions of traffic at the intersection will likely be closed at that time.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and utilize alternate routes until further notice. Anyone driving near the intersection should expect delays.

The Texas City Police Department is on scene, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.
