Executive Chef Brian O’Neill McNamara, was raised in Texas, grew up learning, watching, and participating in cooking with his Grandfather and Father constructing cuisine of all tastes, textures and cultures.
He makes it his passion to understand, create, and pass down to others what he has learned. Brian has been involved in the food industry for over twenty four years and studied at Galveston College’s Culinary Program, and The Art Institute of Houston
.
Brian displayed his creativity and passion for food while working at various well-known restaurants along the Gulf Coast and later as Executive Chef for both Massa’s Restaurant and Massa’s Seafood Grill for seven years. Brian recently worked for Executive Chef/Proprietor, and Iron Chef America Winner, Kent Rathbun for 10 years as Chef of Jasper’s Restaurant in the Woodlands TX. Brian now opened and commands the kitchen for Del Frisco’s Grille in Hughes Landing the Woodlands where he has been for the past five years.

Brian say’s “Over the years I have been lucky to work with some great chefs. Kent Rathbun being my biggest mentor and I had the privalige of working for him for almost ten years in his restaurants Jaspers and Abacus. I still work with him one week out of the year at the Masters in Augusta.
For being a celebrity chef he loves to teach and pass knowledge to anyone looking to expand in the culinary world. Also another big highlight of my career was getting to be involved in the menu planning and execution of a wine dinner with Kent Rathbun and the late great Chef Anthony Bourdain."
